We are currently searching for a Store Manager to lead the Munich Flagship team for us on a One Year Fixed Term contract.
Our Retail Stores form a fundamental part of the Belstaff business and the role of Store Manager is pivotal in ensuring the success of each location. As Store Manager you will ensure all sales opportunities are maximised and operating costs are managed to drive profitability whilst leading a successful and engaged team. You will ensure that your team delivers sales targets, nurturing and developing them to deliver industry-leading customer service as well as effortless, smooth daily operations. We are searching for someone who will enjoy establishing strong relationships with clients and who ideally knows the Munich customer and local community well. As a valued member of the brand, you will also get to know your counterparts across the global store network along with your Head Office colleagues.
We are looking for someone who will be responsible for;
Customer Service
- Creating a client centric culture within the Store
- Leading by example in demonstrating clients are the main focus at all times
- Setting a Belstaff standard that exceeds the benchmark for customer service within the luxury/premium retail industry
- Ensuring store deployment is focused on meeting client traffic and operational demands
- Ensuring the team are fully conversant with the history and current direction of Belstaff, all product and collections and use this information effectively when communicating with clients
- Ensuring that the team pre-empt and respond to client needs in order to excel in service standards
- Dealing with client complaints efficiently and effectively in line with Company policy and to ensure client expectations are exceeded
- Ensuring efficient after sales service is maintained
Sales and Financial Targets
- Achieving store set sales targets on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Monitoring weekly and monthly product sell through, assessing trends of best sellers and reacting to stock levels in the store
- Monitoring and reacting to slow moving stock whilst providing commercial solutions
- Reporting daily, weekly and monthly to Head of Retail on sales patterns, best sellers, sales by employee and propose actions, based on business trends, to enhance performance
- Achieving KPI targets, and personal objectives, set monthly as well as annually during performance review
- Optimising sales by ensuring the team consistently attract new clients and develop the existing client base of Belstaff
- Overseeing the team client book to be used continuously in the store, checking on a regular basis that these details are updated
- Maximising stock levels on the shop floor, with all items clearly priced and labelled to company standard
- Promoting key products and maintaining an up to date awareness of current press and editorial in order to assist with clients enquiries and communicate with the team
- Planning and co-ordinating in-store promotional events
- Training and coaching to ensure all sales consultants achieve and maintain the above sales standards
- Motivating and actively encouraging all sales consultants to meet targets
- Making a significant personal contribution to the sales targets of the store
- Banking and financial takings reconciliation
KPIs
- Driving productivity and profitability across the store by analysing, conversion rates, sales, UPT, ATV, customer data capture, in order to identify deficiencies and opportunities
- Being commercially aware and responsive to sales trends
- Developing business initiatives approved by the Head of Retail to ensure sales opportunities are maximised and Store objectives are exceeded
- Utilising the available marketing tools (CRM) to maximise brand loyalty in order to drive sales
- Maximising sales and profit by analysing performance through utilisation of commercial tools and KPI’s
- Defining, communicating and monitoring sales targets and service levels for the Store Team.
- Coaching and developing the team to ensure targets are consistently exceeded
People Management
- Engaging the team through strong leadership, setting objectives and ensuring everyone is clear about the results they need to deliver
- Ensuring effective recruitment and selection is conducted to achieve highest level of staff
- Managing, coaching and developing all staff and management employees in order that they reach their potential and achieve the required performance standards
- Developing trust and loyalty through fair and consistent management of the team
- Identifying and resolving all employee issues in a prompt and professional manner, in partnership with the HR Team, in accordance with Belstaff polices and by applying best practices at all times
- Ensuring image and grooming standards are professional, reflective of the brand and adhered to at all times
- Developing and expand own skills and knowledge to improve performance
Administration
- Managing all administrative aspects of the job are carried out efficiently and completed accurately within the required timelines. For example; Sales Reports, Daily Sales and Banking Sheets, HR and Payroll documentation, Health and Safety etc.
Human Resources
- Ensuring all store related HR and payroll tasks are managed effectively and in conjunction with HR policy and the HR Team
Communication
- Holding regular team briefing sessions using all forms of communication available
- Ensuring communication flow with Team and Head of Retail
- Ongoing awareness of all company communications and pass on relevant information to team
Staffing
- Daily task planning and ensuring completion of tasks by self and other staff
- Producing monthly staffing schedules that ensure proper coverage to provide high levels of customer service and maximise sales in the Store.
Health and Safety
- Following all company rules and HSE legislation
- Leading and proactively managing the Health and Safety processes for the store as per company procedures/processes
- Training the team on all company rules and HSE legislation
Stock and Security
- Being aware of Company and Store Security procedures and ensuring they are adhered to at all times
- Ensuring the team are aware of how to use tagging and other security systems in store
- Protecting stock at all times to ensure minimal shrinkage according to targets set
- Enforcing the standards of storing stock on the shop-floor and back of house
- Participating in and co-ordinating all audits and counts
We are looking for someone who has:
- A well rounded background in retailing premium/luxury goods (ideally apparel) and delivering exceptional customer service
- Solid experience of managing a high profile store with similar turnover and team numbers
- A clear idea/vision of how to drive forward a store in terms of sales and service
- Experience of exceeding sales targets and increasing profitability within a store of a similar turnover
- Proven experience of driving the customer journey from a brand perspective
- Commercial awareness of the luxury/premium market
- Balanced strengths in sales, people development, operational excellence and customer service/clientelling
- Experience of analysing reports and converting this analysis to tangible action plans
